You may feel embarrassed at being scammed but don't be.  Fight back.  Scammers depend on our human decency to trick us.  It is not your fault that they are the dregs of society and will lie about anything to get money out of your pocket.  They are sociopaths that have no remorse and just bold enough to try to steal your dreams and livelihood. Report them to your police.  Report them to whatever governance agency oversees the business they are claiming to perform.  Fight for stronger regulation to prevent them.  You will be surprised at how weak the currently are.
